About This Project

Located in the heart of Lyon’s 6th district, the Church of Saint Nom de Jésus now benefits from a completely redesigned interior lighting system. Built in the 19th century, the church has undergone a full lighting upgrade that respects both its architectural heritage and present-day needs.

The lighting concept embraces a bold approach. It combines innovative technologies, custom-made fixtures, and a rigorous methodology. The goal: to offer optimal visual comfort for parishioners while adapting the lighting atmosphere to various liturgical moments.

A detailed analysis of visual needs guided the project from the start. The eco-conscious strategy favors controlled, high-performance light sources. As a result, the system reduces energy use and simplifies maintenance.

New custom chandeliers were designed to blend seamlessly into the church’s architecture. Discreet and elegant, they maintain a minimal visual presence. At the same time, a subtle lighting scenography highlights the volumes, historical details, and noble materials of the space.

Thanks to a programmable system, the lighting adjusts to each use. Several scenarios modulate light intensity and effects depending on the service or activity. The result is a refined, respectful, and inspiring visual experience.
