The lighting design for Ilot Eden Garden in Saint-Étienne follows a clear and structured composition. Each lighting level highlights different uses of the space and creates a unified atmosphere—both day and night.
The main lighting first defines circulation paths. Streetlights have been installed along Rue Blanqui’s forecourt and the central walkway. They ensure visibility and safety throughout the site.
A secondary layer of light softens the mood under the pergola. Blade-effect projectors emit a gentle, more intimate glow. This lighting supports everyday use while enhancing the architectural character.
A third level of lighting marks the covered walkways. Light boxes integrated into each arcade echo the illuminated signage of the former “Eden” cinema, once located on this site.
Finally, targeted lighting highlights the public artworks throughout the space. This final touch enriches the garden’s nighttime presence and reinforces its cultural identity.
