The covered hall of the Théâtre Mansart in Dijon was designed as an extension of the theatre’s reception area, which had become too small to accommodate all spectators under shelter from the rain on performance nights.
The proposed lighting scheme ensures both safe circulation and the animation of the hall during evening performances. Linear lights integrated into the structure emphasize the architectural gesture. Above the staircase, a suspended fixture creates a luminous ceiling. In addition, indirect coloured lighting highlights the underside of the roof, creating a beacon-like effect on performance nights.
