THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES

Illumination architecturale de la façade ouest du château

Architecture, Patrimony

By integrating lighting as closely as possible with the architecture of the facades, the geometric structure of the building front is revealed. The interior lighting of the Hall of Mirrors, which complements its exterior treatment, is exploited: it represents the interior and festive life of the Palace. We also sought to retranscribe the original lighting of the building, which shone with a thousand lights. LED strips have been installed as close as possible to the architecture, out of sight, and are controlled and programmed to flicker very slightly, giving the impression that the castle is still lit by candles.
